Did you receive any SAF100 telling you that your IPPT window has opened?Originally posted by goaler:Hey.. i have also been on holding list ever since ORD... about 2 years already...
Though no unit has been assigned to me... do i still need to take IPPT?
I have not taken IPPT ever since I ORD 2 years back...
Do you think there is a chance that the army will lose my data and forget all about me?.. hee..![]()
No leh... My last letter from SAF was the holding list letter...Originally posted by zenmaster:Did you receive any SAF100 telling you that your IPPT window has opened?
Hey.. can i ask what is NSPC? What does it stand for?Originally posted by sunniban:Depends what holding list. If u r in the NSPC holding list, then no IPPT/RT.
If in your Unit's holding list (e.g. IHL) u still need to do your IPPT.
You should receive an SMS 5 months b4 your window closes.
1 way to check is to try make a booking online at MIW.
If you can book ==> u most probably need to do (unless medical)
Not all will "retire" at 35, it depends how old you are when you ORD and you are called up for the 1st ICT.Originally posted by Moxie:Technically, it's still under-40 years old for non-officers & under-50 for officers.
The training cycle applies only if you're with a reservist unit; that's more or less why I faithfully attended my ICTs. As a result, I was never posted out, or had to do make-up, or recycled midterm to a newly-ORD outfit.
The call-ups were untimely at times, but their completions also meant I got my medals & then basically "retired" at age 35, as part of a unit roster that's transferred to PDF status. Better reward: No need to do IPPT anymore too.
