Correct me if i am wrong.I not pro-Mud but i read from somewhere that the MiG 29 can out-maneuver the F16 in a traditional dog-fight! Its only the F16's onboard electronics that is superior engaging up to 8(or was it 16) MiGs at the same time at max range, of course pilot ability comes into it as well. But with better technology, dog-fights are a thing of the past.Originally posted by SibeiSuayKia:lets send me to bullshlt in their forums then.
im a good crap talker that mudland pple might probably understand
u all use too many mini abbreviations...
Yeap malaysia is much larger in size, they all must accept that fact that..
a few hundred times our size..
As such , we must always be ready for our security..in case one of gempur wira people become the defense minister..lol
What can 16 MiG-29 and 18 SU-30 mkm and 8 F/A-18 do?
Frankly without Russian BVR-AAM AA-12 missiles you can't do anything much
Russian Fighter Jets, during Cold War , during encounters with American Made jets , often lose out in battle..
That leaves out the F/A-18 , wrong purchase..
although it's good in a way that it can use short runways etc..
Don't understand..Good Aircraft..purchase so little..
Bad aircraft buy so many ...good luck
Guess those M'sian F/A-18 pilots during FPDA exercises will be shocked
"umm This is the A-4 Skyhawk which our malaysian airforce phased out long ago..OMG , im flying beside it and i noticed it has the same F-404 GE Engine as mine??"
Correct me if i am wrong.I not pro-MudIts ok, it is a good thing that you ask.

But with better technology, dog-fights are a thing of the past.Yes, the MiG-29 is designed to match the F-15 in close range and to beat the F-16 in long range. Although it is not defined during design to beat the F-16 in close range, it's close range capability is extremely well praised. The MiG-29 is a extremely agile plane, it is equipped with an infra-red sensor in front of the cockpit for intermediate range tracking and a HMS cued to the R-73E for the pilot. All these result to a combi for an extremely lethal dog fighter.
During the Korean war, the north were using bi-planes to buzz across the lines, drop a bomb or two, make a general nusiance. The US F-86A sabre could not intercept them because they flew low and very slow. The bi-planes' (can't recall which soviet model) top speed was below the stalling speed of the jets!Originally posted by esesce:You can have a F-22 but if the pilot lacks training & experience, don't be surprised if he's downed by a better pilot flying a humble F-5.
