I am not saying that their facilities are inferior to ours, but such blatant bragging about your abilities would only lead to resentment. Furthermore, resorting to insults about others is not helping matters.
In short, they are asking for people to attack them. But we shall not rise to their crazy challenge -- no sane human would. If they want a fight, nobody is going to give it to them. -

As in any other situations, the moderates will always be drowned out by the extremists. The situation between Malaysia and Singapore is no different.
What is sad is that even though a lot of people on both sides want to be peaceful sometimes things get out of hand.
A lot of Malaysians (Chinese, Malays...) are a really nice lot. But the old misunderstanding and mistrust grows bigger everyday. Maybe familiarity breeds contempt.
But whether you love them or hate them, should Singapore and Malaysia ever come to blows I'm sure every one here is very clear that we have to completely and utterly destroy them. -

Its only the F16's onboard electronics that is superior engaging up to 8(or was it 16) MiGs at the same time at max range, of course pilot ability comes into it as well. Frankly without Russian BVR-AAM AA-12 missiles you can't do anything much
Russian Fighter Jets, during Cold War , during encounters with American Made jets , often lose out in battle..
That leaves out the F/A-18 , wrong purchase..
although it's good in a way that it can use short runways etc..
Don't understand..Good Aircraft..purchase so little..

Yes, the MiG-29 is designed to match the F-15 in close range and to beat the F-16 in long range. Although it is not defined during design to beat the F-16 in close range, it's close range capability is extremely well praised. The MiG-29 is a extremely agile plane, it is equipped with an infra-red sensor in front of the cockpit for intermediate range tracking and a HMS cued to the R-73E for the pilot. All these result to a combi for an extremely lethal dog fighter.
However dont worry, the MiG-29 agility can be match with a HMS. How agile the MiG-29 can be, it wont be able to outfight the turning of a head. Our fighters can keep constant tracking of the MiGs eventhough we dun have the extra eye because we can always rely on our fighter radars as well as datalinking from our E-2C.
However as what u say, pilot ability comes into the picture also. -
You can have a F-22 but if the pilot lacks training & experience, don't be surprised if he's downed by a better pilot flying a humble F-5.

From the movie "Flight of the Intruder" (based on a true story by Stephen Coonts), his bombardier/co-pilot was killed when a stray round fired by some old rifle hit his A-6 flying Nap-of-the-Earth at great speed.
Moral of the above, it does'nt take great technology to beat the best. Just enuff skill, adequate tools and sheer luck.[/img]
