  Martin-> i don't mean to be rude, but what in the world are you going to put in your SBO once you get it? Swiss Army Knife + pens/pencil + notebook + spare mouse/mouse pad? *grin*
  
  I suppose you *could* use it for hiking and camping, but then it would limit the kind of backpacks you could use. i.e. the normal 40l - 60l backpacks end at your hips and the poncho pouch of the SBO would get into the way.

  SBO is for soldiers, they cannot help it as they mainly use it to hold magzines of rifle rounds and grenades.
  
  First if you are hiking, camping in Singapore, you be crazy to run around in a SBO. In stead of looking cool and staying cool , you look stupid and get heat exhaustion fast.
  
  Just go get a good belt, a pounch for it. A good side bag or a small backpack that will be more suitable.

  by the way its called webbing. anyway it has been customised for military purpose hence its design. aside from that, its not really convenient for other purposes.
