  i have mani regular frenes say that they dun sign second phase after ur 10 year contract liao issit true... some say that onli top 10% will be offered..

  it's called Premium Plan 2 (PP2)
  
  The percentage of those offered an extension to the the contract has never changed.
  
  Its just that last time, people wanted to leave the force. So that percentage met the requirement.
  
  Now, when almost everyone wants to stay on... that's why it looks like there's a squeeze for that percentage.

  This started in the late 80s, the SAF is no more a iron rice bowl. Better to sign on in SPF than in SAF.
  
  Those who signed on 70s and early 80s afraid that they would be condamned, now they afraid that they tell them to fxxk off especially those in combat vocation w/o a relevant skill in pte sector.
