Scholar vs. Warrior

Hi all,just a survey to know the general sentiments of you guys.
Ok as we all know,there are two types of officers in the SAF,officers who are warriors and officers who are scholars.Ok,the million dollar question is,who would you rather serve for in times of war?And also please quote your reason.

whoever it is, we still have to serve under him.
it's no use rebelling against anyone in particular during times of crises. just not worth it. -
well..i'd fight for a scholarly warrior.
there is no definite scholar or warrior. each officer is usually a mix of both. one who has both these traits is of course, desirable. -
what ever it is if theres a war i pes E admin still will go help in watever way i can

The question is irrelevant. I'm willing to serve under any competent commander I'm assigned to.

anyway your question has made the two genres of officers mutually exclusive which is not the case.
and im gladdened by the many responses here that have went pass all these labels and went for the crux - the competency of the commander, regardless of his background.
when the button is pressed, everyone dons the uniform. who is going to be concerned about where you have come from? -

The modern army has something called Rules of Engagement. Try and get a least something else into that 2-dimension warfare you envision, we are humans, not machines.
