I think we are pragmatic people and we are known to be one. We have russian stuff within our inventory such as the Igla and as i have said, if the SU-30 is so irresistable, we shall purchase the SU-30. We can simply purchase the I-Stinger or even the Starburst from our immediate allies but why Igla? i feel Rafale is good , well balance between air-air and air-gound.
actually if u want me to choose, i feel very hard also.. cos those 3 are not the best plane in military market. cos we already using F16 CD. it quite hard to find plane that overshine F-16CD too much. -
RSAF is looking for a plane that can quantum leap F-16 C/D power..

I read in Pioneer magazine before that some military experts dubbed the Eurofighter Typhoon as the best fighter, losing out only to the F-22. Assuming that's true, then we have no worries 'cos there's no way the US will be selling the F-22 to M'sia nor Indonesia, at least not in the foreseeable future.
I think now it boils down between the Typhoon & Rafale. F-15T I would say is out liao. Yes, the F-15s have an illustrious career & reknown for their dogfighting capabilities. However, let's face reality. It is a very old jet. We don't want a fighter that can only last us 10 years or so. I'm sure RSAF wants their A4 replacement to be able to last at least 20 years. And I doubt the F-15T can do that. Not with newer jets like the SU-35 around. -

They may have been militarily weak in the past but their hardware did create quite a few impacts on military technology.

It is the french navy that sucks,not the air force! Remember the Israeli 1967 Six-days War.IDF that time got only the Mirage I and guess what happen?
