army-ncc badges.. ncc badges etc..

  hey me frm NCC.. jus wondering .. we had been told numerous times that the ARMY-NCC badge can be worn during BMT... does ani1 really wear it? also, some of the NCC cadets went for Airborne , Scuba courses... have u all seen ppl wearin it during BMT? or it ain't really allowed?

  NCC Badges do not apply to NS.
  
  You're airborne is not the same as what the Airborne guys go through.

  Yes, badges like Basic Airborne course attained during NCC can be worn when you enlisted in the army but it will not be recorded in your profile as confidence courses.

  Basic Airborne during NCC is the same as the Army guys undergoing the Opened Basic Airborne Course in the Army nowadays, only for those vocation Airborne Course with equipment jump like the CDOs and NDU undergo is different.

  airborne course same la.. in the admin form for ppl takin part its explainec that this badge can be worn... ARMY- NCC badge also.. the question is got ppl wear ma? those last time NCC siao on 1.. wan2 impress...

  Airborne and Diver badges are not considered NCC badges. Having undergone the actual courses conducted by the SAF schools, you are qualified to wear thse badges on your NS uniform.
  
  As for the other NCC badges, you're better off leaving those tin-biscuits behind at home.

  When you pass out from BAC, you are issue with a para-jump log card and a certificate from Para wing. That is to proof that you had attain your Airborne Badge with 2 x day jump and 1 x nite jump.

  erm.. i mean the ncc badge tat we got when we pass out from specialist course.. (NCC) can we really put it on?

  from all the time i was in there, i've never seen anyone wear it.
  quite frankly if you're going through army, you'll see for yourself if you want to wear it.

  when i was a nsf,
  i remember there's a new COS in the cookhouse from the sniper pl.
  
  upon closer look, he had ippt gold, sniper badge, airborne badge and diver
  
  wa... so many badges for a 3sgt? most likely the airborne/diver from NCC

  yah is the same badge they get nowadays... I noe what you meant, in the past the NCC Airborne badge looks different from the Army Airborne badge. That is becoz those days NCC only did the normal 3 to 5 jumps with clean fatigue where else the Army guys jump with equipment for about 7 jumps. Today, Army opened course did what the NCC guys do due to they are not required to do the equipment jump by vocations.

  Its juz a confidence course for 'most' beside those need to jump with equipment due to their vocation requirement.

  U can wear Basic AirBorne Course and Scuba Diving Badges
  Army-Ncc too lose gas already better don wear
  
  Ive seen PTEs and other ranks incl LCP and CPL w AirBorne Badges..
  while their PC and OC got JCC nia

  to my understanding, in the pass, NCC only did 1 clean fatigue jump, (not 3 to 5 jumps) and they got NCC Airborne badge, which looks similar to the rigger's.
  
  nowadays, they do 3 clean fatigue jump, 2 days 1 night, the same as other Army guys, and they r awarded with the Amry Airborne badge.
  
  Army opened course don't do equipment jumps, they just do 3 clean fatigue jumps to get the badge.
  
  Commandos inital starts with 9 jumps (3 clean fatigue jump, 6 equipment jumps). it was later redued to 7 jumps and than 5 jumps (3 clean fatigue jump, 2 equipment jumps).

  NCC badges is not recoginse in army, even if you can wear the airborne wings or whatever don't, unless you want to die young.
