query on, advise needed!

hi all, i have a query on signin on here goes..
i m quite interested in signing on , preferably the air force , i had enquire abt air crew spec, flight engineer, and pilot , i was invited to a pilot seminar but couldnt attend it tat time , intending to give these vocation a try when i go into bmt at the recruitment talks.
From wat i know if u luckily get selected for pilot and clear the medical, u need to qualify for OCS by urself , so my mentality is that pilot is quite hard to get in and easily chopped off, but still i wan to give it a try nevertheless.
from my view, the other more realistic vocation is air crew spec, even if i cant be a pilot i still hope to work on board aircraft,btw i met all the basic requirements of ACS and pilot. this is a spec vocation.
i heard my fren say, a officer cannot downgrade himself to sign a spec vocation.
so i was tinking , should i chiong and work hard towards OCS during bmt and give pilot a try at the expense of missing out ACS totally, OR go for ACS , missing out pilot, as ACS i tink is easier achieved then pilot

Just go for your pilot. They will do selection, yes some will get chopped off, but they will become the helicopter and C-130 pilots , the most you be air controller or ground defence officer. Why you worry so much, there is so many post for you, they will want you for this and that lah. -

AFAIK, those whose eyesight not perfect will most likely be chopper pilots, or those who did not perform as well as his peers will also ganna chopper pilots. to be fighter pilot, u got to be the cream of the cream of the crop. i also got invitation for pilot talks etc, i didn't sign or try to cos its 12 yrs....and i have no interest in flying. u will not be pilot for 12 yrs, u will get rotate to do office duties etc...

If you cannot be a pilot, then be the one who kill the enemy pilots. Someone told me that.
