How come some people think they pay tax only an other did not like that ? Also they think pay a little tax, mean every road or place also their grandfather one so everywhere can walk walk ..... !!! -

a secret is meant to be a secret. if it is meant to be told to tax payer, it will. The tax u pay is nt to know the secret ... if that is so, it will be consider to be buying state secrets le.

The U.S with its freedom of speech, etc, etc & so on has more state secret then any other country. The American public also pays taxes, yet they too can't just walk into CIA, FBI or any other government restricted areas.

I absolutely hate it when some (only some) of these ppl in the Singapore military industrial complex, use tax payers' money and even this state secret thingy as shields (to cover up for what? your guess is as good as mine) and behave like emperors.

Its not really true that military people can be shielded by the National Security act, especially in S'pore. Otherwise, how else would Jane's intelligent magazines continue to publish its findings? Or better yet, how else you know the place even exists?
Its whats going on within the building thats really is a secret, right? Ha! Did you know that traders are more secretive then the military? Why else did te CIA, during Clinton's administration, devote a large analyst resoures into finding out trade secrets. And knowing a trade secret can sometimes change the events of the world. 1997, a certain muslim PM accused a U.S businessman for manipulating the stocks market which he claimed resulted in the ASIAN crisis.
Military secrets are meant for the defence of the country & usually are useless information to the public except for those who intend to bring harm to the country.
In S'pore, I believe the military is far more capable in preventing abuse of information then most countries that I've seen so far. However, thats not to say that its totally free from abuse because no military in the world is safe from that 1 bad seed, the mole.
Anyway, S'pore's military spending, with TAX PAYERs' money, has been nicely documented in magazines such as Jane's defence mag, etc. -
You mean that since you pay tax, you should get access to states secrets? Paying tax entitles you to the [B]services[/B] provided by the state. Just like any other consumer, you have a choice on whether you want the service or not. But I know of ppl in the establishment who likes to make everything a 'state secret'. Maybe it boost their ego or something. Alot of info you get from Janes, IDR, SIPRI etc.
Then there are some PMs that talk to vendors like tax payers money is their own. Of course they are always right.
Going to another country....trying. This land is for some ppl only...not necessarily tax payers.
