That's Ex Wallaroo, I believe.
Australia's more for Armour training, so I've never went there. I was "unfortunate" in the sense that my active Arty outfit could do live-firing locally, & as much we spend a lot of time at the SAFTI area. Almost burnt every other weekend in my 2nd year, upon my unit achieving REDCON status & often asked to help affect battlefield climate for the infantry exercises. Countless "dry runs" on Fridays/Saturdays before live-firing on Sundays.
All in all, I went overseas thrice as a SAF soldier: Brunei (with 6 SIR as an attached FO/FSO group), & Taiwan twice (as a Arty reservist). Also penciled for Thailand when close to ORD; I wouldn't have minded but by then I valued by owed off-in-lieu's more.
Nowadays, the local Arty units must almost certainly always go overseas for live-firing, given the increased range/calibre of the new weapon systems. I won't be surprised if they compile at least 8 trips by the end of their reservist cycle, spread between Ex Starlight, Ex Cresendo & Ex Thunder Warrior (New Zealand).
