G36C/G36k vs M4A1 RIS

Hmm! You are asking a question not many can answer especially if they do not have any experience in either of the weapon.
But to be fair, its really up to the shooter's preference. Currently in Iraq, there are some Marines reporting that the M4 isn't working to the way they preferred it to but they would still use itas compared to te old versions M16A2s. The report was also published in a Soldier of Foturne mag.
G36 series are made by H&K, therefore, you'll have fans of H&k swearing that its a better weapon then te M4.
Personally, I think both weapons are just as good as long as the shooter knows how to use them effectively & to properly maintain the weapons.
Remember its usually not how good the weapon is but how good the shooters knowledge & skills are.

well the G36 is the rifle which the new XM8 rifle is based on.the XM8 is to replace the M4 in a few years.so the G36 is most definatly better.
Infact there is a story abt a few prototypes firing over 10,000 rounds without jamming.How true that is i dont know.Currently the German army is using the G36k i believe....while a few countries like England has bought a few G36C's -
the commando model of G36 has shorter barrel but there are much more accessories and stuff for M4 than G36 cos G36 is not so 'accessory' friendly due to its design.
study hard lah, know so much abt G36 also no use one, u won't have much chance to lay your hands on it here. -

Well, get used no more... the SAR carbine might replace the M4 in the SAF...
