Actually accuracy is more important in a automatic weapon like machine guns. It is very different from the movie. In fact with a machine gun, you will find you have limit ammo and a faster firing rate. In real life, it is aimed control burst of 3-5 rounds each shoot is the best way for machine guns

Note what the HK police are armed with when they respond to the punks.
Glocks and revolvers. No shoulder weapons anywhere.
In contrast, the punks have the following which i can identify.
Enfield
H&K 7.62mm wirestock carbine
Various iterations of Colt M4 carbine.
Every weapon is armed with a sighting system, and it is explicitly shown that the punks use their sights.
In addition, the female punk is deployed for overwatch, and does a damn good job at it. What do we have, after the smoke clears?
A street full of wounded and shellshocked police.
Of course, one can find a dozen mistakes in Jackie's assault on their HQ, but that's another matter entirely. -

We're long past Rambo days when one man could take on a thousand.
Perhaps you will be so good to tell if movies are "ONLY" movies, why then are there being used as demos of what should/should not be done?
Example:
Clear and present's danger's convoy attack scene, and the bodyguard's response, is a excellent example of HOW to respond to urban ambush.

Worst it is a jackie chan movie !!! alway blow things out of proportion ! to make him look good only. I watched the New Police story movie.
I think Jackie Chan is a stupid cop. Got all his men killed. They already know that they are going after hardened criminals with automatic rifles and still insisted on sending his team in when they are only armed with pistols and shotguns.

However, it will only cover you for a 5.56 Ball round. The M855, with a steel-penetrator can be tricky.
There are many types of 7.62 rounds. The ones used by the sniping community will probably require a Level 4 to stop. As again, look at the NIJ chart carefully, you'll see that the rounds are rated with a muzzle velocity. Thus, anything that flies out of the barrel faster than that is not protected.

I was almost going to get to that.
Really, he sounded too overconfident when he said "Don't you know? We are the SDU". In response to "Have you informed SDU?"
Just imagine how the assault on their base would have gone if he had used all the resources available to him.
