will there be war between china n taiwan?

  imo...most likely earlier in yr 2006 considering the recent tensions and the taiwan road map for independence 2006... then will NK, SK, Japan and USA get involved if the war really break out? pls discuss....

  why? cos 2006 is the year when the military of china is more powerful than taiwan and more importantly the yr the president chen will carry out his "independance" plan... if USA get involved, then Nk will have the chance to invade SK in the name of "helping" China...   There was a report from CNN that said analyst believed the China, Taiwan war will be in 2006 or end by 2006. The reason given is that this will give China enough time to clear up the after war mess & resume preparations for the 2008 Olympics.
  
  Anyway, as long as its not China that fires the first shot, its not likely that the U.S will support Taiwan. U.S as no intension of escalating the situation as theres nothing to gain from such a WAR. That is why the U.S foreign office has informed Taiwan's government to cool it on drumming on the issue that the U.S would support it in a war with China. Should Taiwan start the war, then its likely that Taiwan will be on its own.
  
  U.S does not view China as Saddam or OBL & Taiwan as Kuwait. Creating a war has no benifits to the U.S or the rest of the world except maybe N.Korea. And Taiwa's got no reason to justify its calls for war as China is not oppressing it.

  well u are wrong, USA being a super power could grab iraq in just a few months..
  
  China being a rising super-power might try re-enact usa's strategy in IRAQ and do the same..AGAINST taiwan,..

  China will definitely try to war , the moment USA stop beings a super power and being able to defend taiwan...

  Nah , Taiwan is quite military strong and if they were to attack china in return after the 30B arms package , they could deal some considerable damage and china might take quite alot of years to repair..
