Boy, I do hope you'll know how to recognise the elephant when you see one.Originally posted by SpecOps87:Well,I would report to HQ NCC with my I/C,No.4 etc and request to join the fight with immediate effect.Draw arms, ammo and up I go.
Why?Simply because I would like to do my part for the country in her times of need,by doing what I do best.
lol. they will ask you to go do road marshalling la...Originally posted by SpecOps87:Well,I would report to HQ NCC with my I/C,No.4 etc and request to join the fight with immediate effect.Draw arms, ammo and up I go.

correction, took me about 6 months to earn my 3rd stripeOriginally posted by beavan:hahaha NCC training is mainly drills and more drills..and abit of discipline...that's about it..no real life arms drills or whatever...its nothing compared to the real thing..
imagine we have a 5day spec course..theirs is 3mths long...
the 1st thing in my mind will be..is my family ok? next..someone is obviously not doing their job well for preventing this attack..Originally posted by lonelysoldier:The scenario perhaps is too vague. Here's a more detailed one.
Let's say around like 8:30am on a sunday. You were like jogging/walking around town area at that point in time. Suddenly Air raid siren and before u knew it, loud explosions of air bombing heard everywhere. When u regain posture after the bombings, you realise buildings around you partially destroyed. Lots of screamings and people who were driving were frantically either evacuating from their vehicles or speeding away. You tried using ur hp but no network (Either there's like tons of people using HP at the same time which causes the Network deficiency or the whole damn Telecommunications network got hit so badly that its out)
Now in this case as above my 1st post, what would you do? And those whose camp are like T.Gul or Gedong, how would u return? (My camp isn't there but i know just how far those camps are like lol)
Anyone here with good suggestive views? Coz to my knowledge, we may be operationally ready for a prepared attack in advance but what about a sudden one?
Don't make sense at all.Originally posted by lonelysoldier:The scenario perhaps is too vague. Here's a more detailed one.

Hey hey... People... Moxie is right! If the fighting reaches SIngapore, the war is OVER and the result is Singapore LOST!!Originally posted by Moxie:The likeliest reality is all of the SAF would've been mobilized already. The various combined-arms DIV's would've moved out, leaving the island to be defended by the 2nd-line PDF forces.
Can't say for a terrorist attack, but we definately won't be surprised by a conventional-force invasion. Heck, the Japs took something like 100 days to advance down the Malayan peninsula, & that was considered a brilliant quick-strike compaign.
If you have served NS, you'll know more detailedly what being operational-ready means, with reference to standby forces & REDCON 1 status.
Hey... don't laugh... If the fighting reaches Singapore, it means all our frontline units are annihilated... Then we really need the NCC...Originally posted by sgFish:lol. they will ask you to go do road marshalling la...
think ncc will let you go fight is it? you'd be more of a liability to the real fighting forces...
doing what you do best? please...if you haven't trained with the real SAF, don't think too highly of yourself.

Errr... what's so different?? Hmmm... Let's see....Originally posted by lonelysoldier:The war between WWII and now so different. Besides the british wasn't really full hearted in defending and the defence positions at that point of time were facing south. Can't really compare the battle during those times to now.
