Why don't reservist officers use their ranks in names?

Why don't reservist officers use their ranks in front of their names?Is there something wrong with being associated with the SAF in working life?Why isn't it used as a point of pride?
We are a nation of soldiers,reluctant thought many of us may be,and we should feel some pride in displaying something that is inherent in our identity. -

although sometimes i have thought about it. for example, u are filling in a form and the 1st thing is your name (see below)
Name (Mr/Miss/Mrs/Mdm) ____________________
then how, u write down your rank ah? LTA(NS) xxx.
maybe if u are a high ranking regular officer, like MAJ or LTC, then maybe can put. more shiok that way. a LTA(NS) put his rank for what, somemore a NSman.

Mayb its our culture. We asians r more on the practical side.
It will take time for the next generation to educate them 2 appreciate "pride." -

Simply put it, too many LTA(NS) so no point. It's just too common. Ppl only put them if they're Generals, maybe some COLs as well.

Usu when COL or Generals liao ah, no need application form la. They create their own companies ^_^

sorry pal, there is legal law that only allow LTC and above to put their rank in front of their name. Seriously lah, no point trying to "bring over" your NS ranks to working world, especially the private sector. It's the capabilities that count not the (NS) rank. -
The only time u use (NS) is when you go back for ICT... That's when its most useful!!!!

In forms, we can see,
Those who have Dr, Professor, etc, contributed to Human Knowledge.
Those who have Nobel prizes, PBM, contrbuted to Human Society in one forms or another.
So going by this theory, those who contributed to the defence of Singapore would also can put their rank in. Then those who have WOSEs rank also can put in nia also mah, they too contributed to the Defence of Singapore or even more than the Officers? So why must die die be officers only?
