Like what has been said, there are both good and bad officers and senior NCOs alike. Sometimes you need a check to them should they go way too off. For Recruits, I guess seeing the OO is the best option, although I have seen recruits threatening their instructors with this. Not very nice lah.Originally posted by esesce:During BMT way back in 1996, we had 4 PCs. One was a LTA who was about to ORD. The other 3 were 2LT. All 3 happened to be rich mama's boys & drove to camp in BMW & the like. All 3 were damn farking arrogant & looked down on everyone. They didn't even give the OC any face. One of them tried to pull rank with the chief PTI (a 2WO) & was told that during PT lessons, the PTI is in charge (which is true).
And they always talked as if they were so damn good. "You will see your PC walking around looking very handsome & wearing a beret". Fark you lah! Its only a green beret which practically everyone has! Don't talk as if its a maroon or khaki beret.
Needless to say, no one liked those 3 losers.
I wouldn't call the throwing rank... he did what he felt was right.Originally posted by malcolmloke:Like what has been said, there are both good and bad officers and senior NCOs alike. I have personally witness a NSF 2LT throwing his rank at an encik because the encik tried to "bully" some other ranks by turning out the guards for more than 10 times within a night. This NSF is usually very quiet and in fact shows respect to most enciks and never throw his rank around. That was the only time I saw him throw rank.
Yeah.. perhaps .Originally posted by kopiosatu:I wouldn't call the throwing rank... he did what he felt was right.
The warrant was throwing his rank.
Imagine is your class monitor telling you, 'I'm your monitor, so you better listen to me, sit down and shut up!'Originally posted by sgFish:i apologise for my ignorance, as i haven't been through NS yet...but what's pull rank and throw rank?
