How many Mohan can there be in Armour?Originally posted by Slywong:Kena 3 from GSB before because of some area cleaning and when report back to Mohan, he said Fuck It!!! hahaha....
As mentioned, he was my section instructor when I was at SOA. Our section grown quite close to him and coincidentally, our entire section was posted back to 40 SAR in the same company......When Mohan was transfer to our company as CSM....all our specialists immediately happy like @#$@#%@. Once office hour over, all of us would gather at the mess and drink beer and play snooker......
Originally posted by kops21:How many Mohan can there be in Armour?I attended ADSL in Mid 91, Sgt Mohan(old ranking system) was our course pl sgt. He is one of the nicest Pl sgt that i have encountered, basically we did not get tekan(except once) throughout the course.(To be frank we are very surpised, as we get loads of tekan in SAFINCOS).
During that time, i remember hearing that this old sgt kena condemn leow lah..do all sort of funny things, as he drinks alot. i was told he even book in straight to range one day in civil and do a run down in civil plus sbo.
My kind of guy with beer in containers during field exercise...
That sound like OUR SKINNY INDIAN TIGER.Originally posted by Slywong:Anyway, to confirm.....thin indian fellow.......curly hair....sharp nose.....deep-setted eyes....like to drink Tiger Beer.....
Originally posted by flash9933:Hey Armour pals, have you all heard of a tankee SSG Lee Kuan Yew (same name as SM Lee)? This guy also another terror in Armour.
I remember once during AISL in 1994, he deliberately shut off the electricity to our block bcos the OCS cadets boh chap his instruction to lights-off according to the routine order when SSG Lee was the DO. I even heard from the cadets that once when he was the DO, before he reaches the Sungei Gedong ammo dump, he will sneak into the ammo dump theu leopard crawl to check on the prowlers whether they are doing a good job or not.
Once, my CSM in 41SAR told me that SSG Lee even swallow a dark skin lizard live when this poor little chap crawl onto the chalk board SSG Lee used for lecturing to his men back in the mid 80s ... eeeeieOriginally posted by Slywong:He also anothe condamned case.......
He was posted to Brunei.......Cause one of our tank commander was attached to the armour camp there.....he was offered to extend his stay in Brunei but on hearing SSG Lee going to be posted there, he immediately opt out and came back to Singapore to rejoin the unit.......Originally posted by flash9933:Before I left SOA, heard from lao chiao that he was posted to some ASEAN countries to serve there.
I think today's Armour, we will not see such "terror" in the formation already ... most of the warrant officers are old birds whom just want to breeze through the remaining years in their career. Even the Armour officers have a handful of scholars to "lead" the units.Originally posted by Slywong:He was posted to Brunei.......Cause one of our tank commander was attached to the armour camp there.....he was offered to extend his stay in Brunei but on hearing SSG Lee going to be posted there, he immediately opt out and came back to Singapore to rejoin the unit.......
Thought the toilets are for the ladies...Originally posted by flash9933:Our playground at TVMA and Area D have also transform drastically in terms of track conditions and wider path. We even have mobile toilets everywhere now in the field ...

being from School Of Armour during my NSF days, I decided I cannot stand by and not join in this conversation!!!
After hearing all of you talk about the different terrors in the camps, I would like to highlight one other terror, anybody heard of this Warrant Officer called Joseph Tan? During my NSF time, 95-97, he was a 2WO not certain about now but should at very least be 1WO by now if not even higher.
Anyone know him and had any experiences? Would like to hear yours before I relate mine to you
