Armington XMLR-100 (Laser Rifle): The combat upgrade of the Armington ALC, this rifle has already been adopted by US and British Forces on a limited test basis. The rifle uses a backpack to provide cooling for the Laser chamber. This allows it to fire once every 15 seconds. The backpack weighs 9 kg.

wow what kinda damage can this gun do?
carry around so heavy,16kg leh then can fire only one round per 15 sec. The damage better be worth it to lug that thing around.
Range 50 means 50 meter or km ?bou ko leng leh, thought a laser beam can travel thousands of kilometers one ?
btw when a laser beam is created, does it results in any recoil action? -
It is stated that it is still at the testing stage. But i think it will be more practical to mount the weapon on a vehicle because its very heavy. Looks like Star Wars is approaching earlier than expected!
