also, if you wantch the tv show, it will tell you how weak the weapon is, firing rate slow and not too accurate, most of the time the alien jaffa can't even deal with a single SG team with more people and lose to them big time. -

yea things like that raises the profile.But it's not really cheap because if the show asks they usually try to provide things like showing a plane doing certain things or maybe a base.... so yea.....every1 wins.
for example for the show ID4 independance day, the USAF wanted to provide real F18's for the fight scenes but on condition that the producers leave out the name Area 51 and use the term somewhere in Nevada .They producers did not want to so the USAF pull out support and the show was left with computer generated planes -
By the way, do you guys watch the show?
As enjoyable as it may be to watch the SG-1 on its missions, no offences to the USAF Spec Ops, they should've shown more Army Spec Ops.
Instead they introduced MARINEs.
