SYFband competition cancelled?!

read in new paper, that the competition is cancelled but the central judging remans...
so i suppose its the same for both jcs and sec sch?
no best jc /sec band for this yr?
sidetrack a bit ...
so would u all prefer the old system of only having central judging ie only gold,silver ...
or with the new system...added in 1997 ,

IMHO would prefer the old system...is it really that impt to be the best?
...the enjoyment and cameradie teamwork experienced in preparation and competition should be the more impt? -
I think that there is no such thing as a good band or a better band, much less a best band. THe way one band plays a tales of the sea is very much different from the way andother band plays tales of the sea. It's hard for the judges to award the best band award.

really think they should scrap the best band competiton segment, since the central judging part is instrumental enough for bands to assess themselves to a certain level of capabilities... -
hmmm jc shud still ahve finals. bcos their syf not really affected to as usual rite? but sec sch dun have...... but also wont affect me. my band wont get into finals one. haah
