Dear aunty agony
i am in a company that is fraught with cunning people and unhelpful people..........they realli separated into two parts just like malaysia and singapore
i mean since we are working in the same company there isn;t any harm in helping each other out rite....why must they separate it until so distinctly.........
i mean is society realli that unfeeling and backstabbing realli rules...........to each it's own is the oni phrase that exits in their vocab.............
haiz.............what shd i do.......??

There is always some form of politics in ev. org, it depends on how u handle it. Some of my frens haf told me tt in a certain org, they learnt tt there's No way u can't take sides. If u wish to remain neutral, both sides will attack u. But it lets u learn to equip urself & how to defend urself : )
It takes all sortsa pple to make up the world. We juz hafta learn how to deal wif it well : )

Learn to accept reality and survive it. What you experience is quite common in many companies. So, moving on may not solve your problem. Having said this, however, does not mean that you should not move on. There are more friendly companies out there, but it may be a long search. Can you afford the search? This depends on your financial needs as well as your patience and job interest.
For a lot of people, they just accept life as it is. For some, they job hop each time they reach a point where they cannot take it anymore. I have a number of friends who change job every so often. But most important of all, learn to relax even when everything is falling apart. At the worst, you get sacked or the company folds up. -
If u want to stay on in the co. then better to remain neutral & not to take sides.
That means not gossiping & telling tales to either side.
U have to learn to balance & be friendly to all. -

Just do the job that u were paid to do ok.
It helps to focus on your strengths and not ur colleagues weaknesses or bickerings. -
There life..It happens almost everywhere. Not everyone can be frenz.
Well. fhere are all kind of people in this world. Cunning, kind, honest, devious or somewhere in btw ETC.Nobody is perfect. Take it easy, dude.
If you cannot adapt to it, find another job. -

Company Politics are everywhere
Where there are people, there are politics
Birds of the same feather, flock together
The best is to remain neutral
Singapore is so small , and even if we should leave this workplace,
we may bump into familiar figures later in another office, you know.
Causes of politics are different ......
Some politics started out of people's ego of challenging
one another , envy, jealousy, pride, competition , insecurity etc. for their own
personal gains .... alot of human conflicts arise because almost everyone
desires to be a winner
However, I believe that it takes two hands to clap..
so, no single side is perfect ...each has its own reasons for doing so ...
As human beings' behaviour is likened to animals, it's only their
natural tendency to behave like this
It's up to us to perceive the politics in the office ...
Most freshies, fresh grads, or people who have just joined the
workplace couldn't tolerate ... but after sometimes ...they have to gradually
learn to accept this as reality ...
For example :
I came across many freshie grads ( poly & U ) being treated unfavorably by
their senior colleagues, especially those of 40 years and above age range
and who do not have diploma & degree themselves. In our heart, we do feel
for all these freshies, rite? We tend to ask : Why all these 40 something years old people have to be like that??? ( But not all 40 something years
old people are like that lah)
We can't expect our colleagues to be like our friends and family members ...
Occasionally, if we are blessed, we may come across colleagues who
value relationships with us , ya ... , and whom we desire to meet everyday in the office!
Ok, one last thing :
If we don;t like office politics, don;t be an office politician ourselves also, ya.
Do unto others as what we would like them to do back to us - that's fair
because not everyone of us can still turn the other cheek after we have been slapped the other side, ya.
