Losing interest in studies

Its kind of sad that after all the ups and downs I faced, I finally got into NTU as a part time student. But 3 terms later, my grade is going from bad to worst and I'm not even sure if I make it through this term. I identify my problem as not interested or motivated to study. But I don't want to quit cos I will dissappoint many people. But at this rate I will be kick out of school
. Anyone knows what I should do? -

and of course i agree that this world doesn't only depend on your qualification but come on.. let's be honest with ourselves, that piece of paper does matter.. hope my words will make you come to your sense and hopefully make you hang on till the end. don't give up ya -
I'm kinda in the same boat... I'm losing interest in my studies too. In fact, there's no motivation at all!
But there's no way out except to grin and go through the process... Just try to do the minimal to pass lor... It's very sian lah but no choice man...
How long more do you have to go before you can grad?
The good thing for me is that my final exams are only 2 weeks away and these will really be my FINAL exams in university... Can't wait!
Bad thing is I haven't start preparing for them... -

imho... its a VERY VERY tough university esp for engin courses... unfortunately not in the intellectual sense... but rather brute force -

Find the motivation to study again. E.g. why did u wanted to take up the course or want a degree? Enjoy the lesson/ lectures? Maybe think what happened during your studies? Is it don't understand or too much or not what you tot they are,etc,etc.
I guess I understand that you have a few hinders.. not to disappoint ppl ard and also the paper chase.
I guess take a break for studies during holiday and try to get charge again.
Find the meaning of life and studies!

I was supercharged up during the holidays. Couldn't wait to get back into studying. 2 weeks after the semester started, I couldn't wait for them to end.
At the end of the day, it boils down to the lecturers and whether you have interest in what you are learning.
If the lecturers are crap but you like what you are learning, you can always self-learn and still do well.
If you have no interest at all but the lecturers are super dedicated, they may spur you to study and do well.
If you have none, just dig in and see out the semester like me...
But don't give yourself too much pressure. Afterall, it's only a piece of paper you're collecting at the end of the day. Getting a good job goes way beyond that... -

I confess I'm a last-min worker... Can only have motivation one day before exams.. Most of the time, the entire semester work is covered in 1 or 2 days before the exam...

Think I like to go on a holiday overseas... Ok! Will take your advice! Will go on a week long holiday then come back to study... Thanks! I'm feeling less stressed already...
