I got an ex-army fren. got to know him during NS and because he's 'weird' and many ppl in the unit shun him.
i try not to do the same so i spend a little more time with him. then turn out that this guy got some homosexual inclinations and scare the hell out of many of my frens. so...after some discussion with our mdm..whom we r close to...he's being posted out to other unit.
but....2 yrs after ord. this guy still calls me on phone and each call is as boliao as usual...asking me how am i doing for several times in one call, ask me why i nv call him and when can i visit him etc....
hmm....i try to remain diplomatic coz i do not like to ignore anybody but i dun think this should be the way. as usual...i do preach to him. haha...
so....if u have such a fren. wat is your response?
ps. btw..he jus called.

Well Neon, it does look like you're working on a fair bit of conjecture here. He may not actually be gay, and may just be, shall we say, genteel. Even if he was gay, what's to say that he's interested in a relationship with you?
The simplest thing to do is to lay your cards on the table: "Look, you're a good bloke and all, but I have to be honest and say that I'm no boxer, and I don't fancy being punched in the ring", or something to that effect.
If he's cool with that, well and good. If he's not, then you've got the grounds to say that his intentions are making you really uncomfortable, and because of that you would no longer wish to maintain contact with him. -
I really don't get this majority singaporean fear of gay people, Bangladeshi/indians and sometimes eurasians. Totally unfounded. When does hanging out = i wanna have a deep relationship with you?

well i got quite a few close gay friends though i'm straight. they're pretty much the same as others. just treat them normally but let them know tt you like girls only and nothing else.
btw if you're a homosexual, usually you'll declare it when u enlist for army and they'll send u to some slack vocations. -
