just wondering, would you ppl choose career or love?

was talking to an adult friend (who basically has the whole package, tall, great body, interlecttual, nice etc) and i realised he hadn't any relationship at all. when asked, he replied that he wanted to give his all to his career. when i asked him whether he was lonely, he hesitated before replying.... "yes".
so, which do you think is more important? -
Career when i have youth.. due to the drive to succeed.. hit 30+ den consider love n marriage.. i think most pple put career first.. hence to declining birth rate..

Depends on situation i guess...
Though love is impt, but there are situations when career is more impt, ie. when u have a family that u have to support. -

Maybe I won't build up my career as fast as I can
But I don't want to regret it by letting my chance slip pass me by the time I am successful with my work. -

I Want to have both.
But i have neither for now.
Given a choice, why can't we have both? So long the other part of you agrees, and is understanding, i believe it can be done(though not without effort). -

The two items in question are not mutually exclusive. It is possible to have both. A good career (Boss) would give allowance for your family life and a good spouse would not expect you to give up your career.
But of course, there are many bad jobs and spouse out there. Some, unfortunately are so desperate to get hitched and earn $$ that they are willing to accept demanding spouse and boss. -
Both are important, but if come to the question where you must choose one, I think the answer is obvious.
Just ask yourself, you can work until what age? 80? 90?
Some more, even you are willing to work, doesn't mean chances are always there.
For example, I have a friend, he is a chief pilot working for local biggest airline. He earns a lot, and has a very good prospect. Every time we ask him when he getting a partner, and he always answer, “I am still young, and I am putting career first”. Years after years, he is no longer young. Then one day, he is one of the many who is under the retrenchment list due to SARS outbreak.
Who can foresee all this? Before SARS, working for this local airline is like a dream job for everybody, imagine the amount of bonuses and rewards. So, no matter how good you can achieve, eventually it will come to an end. Though now he is working for another airline, but the package offered is different, and he has to start everything again.
Though he has a BMW sport car, and a landed house, but he only able to enjoy all this by himself alone.
Love, is something that will be by your side till the day you die (unless she donÂ’t love you anymore), but career? At most, it will be ended at age of 55, or even earlier. -
These days it's more like no money, no love.

i guess there's no right or wrong.
Different people makes different choices at different points of their lives.
Each person has a story to tell. -
Definetly Career. When you have Career can get love ya, no love still got career.
When you no career hard to get love, lost your love then also no career.
Which is more worth it? Do the math. -

love and career equally impt. it best to choose someone who u love that willing to share your problem with you. For me i choose to be wif my bf even he jus started his career not long ago. To me suffering abit now and enjoy later.
