Ever come across a mentally mad person?

There's this girl in my school, kept talking to an 'imaginary friend', in full view of everyone.
Sometimes she even quarrels with this 'friend', screamly, shouting loudly and crying, throwing tantrums.

LOL farnie old man. but i pity my grandma.
since young she always hear people scolding her. one day my grandpa saw her hitting and yelling against the wall. he and some friends drag her to woodbridge, where they proclaim she mentally ill. since then my mom stopped schooling and looked after the house.
now, 40 years later, she give up liao. she still hear people always scolding her but she had learnt to ignore. and now she is quite normal when talking to us, although something else may still be talking to her... -

My neighbour opposite door got one when I am younger. Used to see piles of sand or oil at my doorstep for no apparent reason. Also can hear her scream all the time. Forgot what else she did, but most of the time she is not allow out of the house.
