good ideas for a romantic dinner?

anyone have a gd idea for romantic dinner? my bf's birthday is on wed.. and we'll be celebrating on tue nite, just the 2 of us... i tot of dining at the cable car... but it seems like they r serving jap food this month and my dear doesnt like jap food... i tot of having teppanyaki at jurong hill top... but it's a little far since he stays in the east.... well, i'm not very rich and aint working yet... i do have a budget to keep to... but i'm not very sure how much would it be yet... anyway, anyone have gd suggestions?

Try bookin d cable car @ sentosa....dey got special rates (shud b $30) if its a 'picnic' (bring ur own food)....

Dun haf 2 cook by urslf...although if u can rilly cook...it upz d 'touched' quotient in ur' dear'...
U can choose 2 order takeaway from somewhere else.....den bring it 2 d cable car under 'picnic' reservations...bring ur candles when u'r @ it.....
Dining in a cable car by sunset.....perhaps a trip 2 d musical fountain if d mood is rite....
Hope it doesn't rain though....

But i'm pretty sure there used 2 b 2 types of reservations...
1 was cabin + dinner which cost a whole lot more...
D other was jus cabin w/o dinner....dey termed it as a 'picnic'.....
I took d 'picnic'.....brot food from jack's place....
But dat was scores ago...
U better check wif dem 4 d reservations 'now'... -

or u can go to blu restaurant where they have french cuisins. a lil' bit of meat is gonna set you back $70 easily i think. -

dunno if you notice wat I said in the shoutbox, but I would still say simplicity is the best way to go. I do not like to go to places which are too posh, cos somehow they will make me clumsy (like I would tend to start dropping my cutleries lol
) So just look for a place which serve food you know both of you will enjoy (I dun really know the names of restaurants in Spore, mebbe the other forumites can help you better in this), and choose one that has the suitable ambience. Good luck and have fun!
