Do gers often do this to a guy?

There is this ger whom i know for 3yrs+ alrdy. But after i got enlisted in army, we lost contact with each other. Just when i was going to ORD, we started smsing each other. For the first mth of contacting, we have been smsing very often and meeting up almost every wk. Most of the time, she was the one to sms me first. But after i found a part time job, we stopped smsing each other and meeting up. It is to the extend of when i sms her, she wont even reply.
(Last time i told her that i liked her, but she kinda "rejected" me)
Just wondering,
Do gers do this often?
Wat does the above situation mean? -
mayb she's too bored...tat's y she contact u.
forget abt her man, there's so many girls out there. it takes time to find a good one.
sry for being harsh... but i tink u need to do some soul searching...
she's toying wif ur feelings cuz she knew tat u had a liking for her.
if she realy likes u too, i dun tink she will not reply ur sms.

hmm....i also asked myself if i did anything wrong to cause these before posting the question here and could not come out with an ans. Anyway, i am just treating her as a fren now. About her losing her hp or lost contact, i doubt it. Coz it is just tat she replys once in a blue moon. -

get on with life; like going out wif frens, make new frens, spend more time wif ur family, play rpg games, read a book, pick a hobby like collecting action figures(u can go to the flea market at clarke quay on sun)... keep a lookout for job if u haven got one. try to keep urself busy so tat u will tink less of her.
ur life will be much better if u r surrounded by pple who appreciate u. -

Some gals knows that if someone likes her.. she will shun away from that guy.. cos they feel that after rejecting him.. she finds it dificult to face him.. that's why they avoid..
Or like what other says.. she's jus playing hard to get..
Anyway.. don't worry too much and think too much about it.. if she wants to be like this.. that's no way you can change her.. she wont reply then let it be.. at least you make an effort to contact her again.. Jus carry on with your work..

. For my case, its like 1 month she keep sms me every day but the next month only once a while. But then suddenly she starts calling me to chat once a while. 
I sometime think it easier to understand rocket science than to know what the ladies are thinking of. -
About when i told her i liked her, that was like 3yrs ago.....b4 i enlisted. And about her trying to play hard to get, i am now treating her just like i treat any male/female frenz. I doubt she wants to be in a r/s now anyway. Oh i agree on that. Btw, i only told her tat i liked her 3 yrs ago. And i am treating her as a fren for now. Gals like attention. Sorry to b harsh but u'r juz her "anytime at her beck of call" fren. She noes dat u like her. Hence, u've provided her a gd chance to use u when she's bored or whenever she needs some attention. U dun seem to b able to treat her as a normal fren. She will contact you if she wants.. sometimes if she never reply then let it be.. don't be too persistent on wanting her to reply every single msgs of yours.. Haha......true true. But i think i only sms her 1 or twice a week. Last time, most of the time she will be the one who sms me first and i will just reply her. Let girls do the 'chasing' sometimes. The results are actually quite interesting. That's when we're playing their game. Try to make yourself attractive(not just physically), and then they'll start chasing you again.
