how to migrate?

i just came back from a trip to southern california and gosh i freakin love the place, fullerton district in anaheim to be exact. how do i migrate there? if some screwed up viet refugee can move there we s'poreans should be able to also right?

you can spesk to companies that help ppl migrate. one of them is called ocsc. somewhere in orchard. check with internet yellow pages.

Find a job in USA, get the company to support your application for a green card and then finally the citizenship. You have to continously work for the same company for quite a few years before you can get the green card/citizenship. USA migration is not that easy.
Anyway, there is nothing great about USA. I am not impressed. Prepared to pay 25% tax + 6-15% GST if you really want to migrate. -

Do nursing - Georgia is the easiest state to get registration in and you move out from there - usa needs nurses ...so much so that the african nations have started complaining to WHO about usa , uk and australia taking their nurses away.

I've got a friend there who wanted to get out of the US: He is subjected to racial discrimination even though he is a citizen(PM me if you wanna know more). what's more, you're not... try somewhere else perhaps.

Not adapting to a different culture is definetly out of question, he was born and bred in US. Guess what: he lives in LA, not in some sh|thole you're talking about. normally when people in the US refer to LA they refer to the CITY of LA, not various parts of the LA basin or LA county. for example, the place i stayed at was at the fullerton district in anaheim in orange county, which is one of the few counties in the entire LA basin, it is still ok to say that anaheim is part of the LA basin but u can't say that anaheim is in LA because over there LA means LA city itself.Originally posted by Qitai:L.A. is in the state of California. -
