Went for interview for waiter job last wk and the next day the manager called me and told me to come on the following Saturday for trial . When I reach there then they say I no more slot liao..then I saw the person who "replaced" me.
Quite good looking ( waiter ) he is..
Damn...does this society depends on looks...

He may be good looking, but he may also have qualities that are hidden from you. Stuff like confidence, experience, lower expectations.
These qualities are much better than being good looking.
There are always vacancies in Banquet departments if you're willing to work.~ -

The pay is peanuts but no choice mah.. or else no money support family as my dad old liao mah, so the pay also drop

Well kid I presume? My advice to you is that by hook or crook, you should save up to further your studies. Even diploma holders and degree holders have problems now much less if you don even have that paper. The only other way I can suggest is that you find someone willing to teach you important ropes of a certain trade(although chances of this is a bit rare since you know how selfish our locals are) and start your own small enterprise in the future.

Damn..actually wanna go for another interview in Pan pacific. Then my bloody mother say 1 of my relatives ( father side ) also working there whom my mother very hate 1. Then tell me not to go ... fk sia...always make thing difficult for me...Hate the person her dai ji la!
guyz, know any jobs avaliable for students ? excluding sales. I cant do that.. -

where u stay? my sis works in a cosy cafe in the east. they're hiring. esp for xmas time. double pay. around $10-12/hr. now my sis is getting $7/hr for normal days. the bosses are nice people, they'll gradually increase your pay. starts from $6/hr onwards.
