Would have either told the 2 guys politely that they jumped my queue or told them off if I had to if I was in your shoes....Originally posted by spaded:... that annoyed the hell out of you.
Let me start the ball rolling.
Couple of days ago
I was waiting for my spaghetti at the food court so naturally I'll bring the tray up and put in front of me. Two guys were chit chatting beside me. I stood at my position as first in queue for awhile before I remembered I need cutlery. So I just walked past the guys (the cutlery was beside them) to take whatever I needed. And before I knew it, they had taken over my position and were hogging onto my tray. How gracious. Am I invisible or were they blind? Sheesh!!!!

It was raining heavily and as you know, buses are always crowded on rainy days. I was left with no choice but to flag a cab. There weren't many available cabs so it took quite some time before one actually appeared. My hand was out in the rain the whole time and I was a lil drenched. As the cab got closer, this guy from oppo the road crossed over and casually stuck out his hand. And the driver stopped for him. He fking stole my cab right in front of me. He didn't even look apologetic.

My friend and I were in the underpass leading to Wheelock and this Caucasian dude held the glass doors for us even tho we were a distance away. He patiently waited till we strolled in before going off.
Not that I want to compare but the truth is this. Judge for yourself.![]()
Frankly, if I were the 2 guys, I would do it too.Originally posted by spaded:Couple of days ago

Tink no 1 has more nasty cab experiences den i do.
I was with my sis waiting for cab & some lady happily popped out infront of us & tried to flag for a cab along the mainrd. She did not even bother looking back for any1 waiting behind. So i went up & told her, we have been waiting for a cab be4 her. Act lian buey lian replied, DIS IS NOT A TAXI STAND. Haha.. how stupid of me for not realising dat there wasn't any Q-stand??If there was 1, i wouldn't haf to waste my breath telling her i came 1st. DUH! So to avoid any catfight, i said OK.
walked up further infront with my hand flagged out all the way & got my cab. Anyway, my point is.. stand up for urself coz after they get away wif it, u can only come back & kp in sgforums.

actually no. the tray incident happened in school. it would be immature of me to create a din over a stupid tray.Originally posted by kaobeikaobu:seems that u r more angry with yourself for being a pushover...than with them.
next time juz make ur views known...
din? no lah...juz politely tell them u were first in the queue.Originally posted by spaded:actually no. the tray incident happened in school. it would be immature of me to create a din over a stupid tray.
as for the cab, the guy was smooth. i don't even have time to react. as soon as he reached my side of the road, he got on the cab. that was how fast.
on the contrary, i'm quite the b*tch.

Such things happen...
I know alot of Caucasians have the habit of holding doors for girls (yeah... Even for guys...)... I find their act very 'gentlemanly'... But I've also seen Singaporeans who does that....
What 'truth' is there? You're in Singapore and you'll probably get to see more ugly sides of Singaporeans... If you're in another country, you'll probably see more ugly sides to them... Studies have shown that people are usually more sensitive and easier to remember bad things in general.....
