i guess there can never be such a thing as a "manual" on handling relationships.
People are different, they act and think different. What may work for one relationship may not work on another. Also, if you are following a manual, manual says to give in, but u're not "willing" to, in the long run, it still won't work out either. Best is to learn from own experiences and mistakes.

There is no manual on handling relationships.
Neither are there any manuals on handling friendships.
It all boils down to your character. It's a matter of how you communicate with people that bring you closer and even attracts you towards the people you're communicating with.. and that includes body language as well.
Take some time off to build up your self-esteem and character. In that way, you'll begin to find people drawing closer to you more each day.
Final note: If you want to find the right partner; BE the right partner.

There's no manual 4 handling relationships, as 1 fixed solution 2 a relationship problem may not be suitable 4 the other

i've got a book called The Secret of Living. and another called Boundaries in Dating. a book i recommend is 5 fold loving or smth like that. it describe 5 diff ways ppl show love, and how u recognise it.
my way of showing love is gifts. and touch.
others may be spending quality time, or praise, or service.
