hi. i am worried about my periods. i started a few weeks ago and now i think im on again but im not sure. this sounds really stupid but i cant help it. when i 1st started, it was red, but 2day it was brown. does this mean i am on or not? plz help. i feel so stupid and i dont want to ask my mum.

as far as i know, when teenage girls just start having periods they will not be regular. i think brown = less discharge, it's kind of the period is drying up, that's why it's brown. it should be normal, given that you are very young. normally for most of the teenage duration, periods may not be regular. if you are still scared, you can see a doctor. see a female doc if it makes you more comfortable. don;t be afraid.

do u noe that period is a monthly cycle? and normally, it will last 3-7 days.

longest period at most 5-7 days, brown in color is normal.
Do you mean this is the first time you have period?
you can always go for a check up , it does not cost much. -

it is normal that periods are not 'regular' at your age. it happened to me too when i was your age - every 2 weeks once then become 3 months once then whenever it happy then come again
. things will stabilize in a few years. don't worry too much. 
signs that may need worrying and a doc
1) severe cramps (the kind that u faint or can't walk)
2) sex (too many possiblities - pregnancy, STIs, etc)

unless you experience pains or cramps, it's not necesssary to see the doctor.

If this is ur first menses, it's normal. It might also be irregular for the 1st yr. So don't worry okay?
