Applying for PR

  Hello pple,
  
  I got a few things that i would like to find out regarding applying for PR in Sg. Hopefully any1 out there knows and can help enlighten me. Ermmm pls, i'm trying to find out the exact procedure for a friend so pls pls pls try to give more accurate information. Thanks in advance!!!
  
  Okie just to start off a few qns:
  1) How long must the person work here in Sg b4 he or she can apply for a PR here.
  2) What are the minimum requirement? Like education etc.
  3) Heard that PR must be applied through with the help of the company, is it true?
  4) So can a PR applied for a new HDB flat if his or her partner is a local?
  5) Any other informations i must know and left out?

  i got a female collegues also a PR...i know something from her..
  
  1)he or she can immediately apply for PR if he or she can find a job here..hence, u must have an employment pass 1st b4 u can work in sg and hence then can apply for PR..and applying for PR, u need a company name as well
  
  2)generally, if u r considered as skilled worker or foreign talent, no problem in applying
  
  3)refer to 1
  
  4)if is or her partner is a sporean, can apply for new HDB, if not will have to buy resale flat

  i am a singapore PR for 20 years but i am not very sure leh......
  Can i apply for singpaore citizenship?

  if u r a ger, rather easy to change from PR to citizenship..
  
  if u r a guy, much harder, cos all sg guys must go through NS...but of cos, if u r a PR when young, u can go NS and hence achieve citizenship

  not true... i'm not a PR but have been in spores for many years... just received a letter from SIR telling me to apply for a PR once i complete my poly and find a job...

  ya, of cos u can apply a PR hen..but i heard that u also need to serve NS..but of cos, if u choose not too, u cant get citizenship lor..

  Yes you have to serve NS especially if you are the second generaation batch of PR(your parents also PR)
  
  about 4 months b4 your ORD you can apply for your citizenship
  at least this is what was told to me

  of coz not la... but my fren clever.. he after o level run back msia, drop PR status, dun have to pay a single cent... smart sia~
