5K is rather little to start a business in Singapore... Perhaps you have to save up more or source for more capital or partners before you start thinking about starting up your own business.

Best is get another 1 more friend to help share wid u...but again, dun think of setting up or lease a shop,cos the rent is a killer when u dun earn enough to cover ur overhead..i kanna b4..

agree...start with push cart. nanz chong (1.99 shop) also started with that.
but check out the prices first..some push carts- can cost as much as $1.5k.
with perseverance and interest, there will be a way out. but, be a risk taker if u wana be an entrepreneur. -
I would suggest you to start your business in some other countries where the cost of starting a business is relatively cheap and there are more opportunities. As for what business to start, I would suggest you to pay a visit to the countries that you are most likely to start a business there and you might just know what kind of business is required over there.

Since money is an issue here, i think its better u ask urself if u are willing to lose this 5K and be jobless for the next year or so...thats the risk u have to take.
GO overseas is not an option unless u wanna sell beef noodle in JB becoz flying urself there plus ur goods will take up quite a tab bit of money already.

1stly,5k is not much...hard to use it>direct translation from chinese..normal shop dun think bout it.i did it b4, DIE JIA LAT..lolx..i done many stuffs b4...best was earn 7k plus per month..
push cart normal is at 800 there, cost of gds eg.slothes ,bikini,watever sh _it u should set back bout 1k...the rest is to tahan for the 1st 3 months if no business...profit is not high..still hv to replenish gds...
for me, i done masa malam. 3 days >300 there..gds i take 700 worth, sure earn...

Well, you have to take into account what business you're going into.
5K is not enough for big businesses definitely.
But definitely enough for small businesses.
