Starting Salary

I've been wondering how much of a starting salary is a poly graduate, uni graduate gonna get when he/she starts working?
Also, anyone know what uni degree to recommend for a BizIT student, as well as job prospects?
I know the school does give some examples, but I'm kinda hoping to hear the real deal from the people who have been there, done that
And yeah, can anyone tell me if it's true that banks won't loan students money for overseas studies?
