How to measure love in the first place?
I would say it's how much u feel for a person..not quantitative tho. Time cannot measure love. -

What is Love? How do you measure it? What do you use to measure it?
If you are unable to answer these questions, do you actually know what love is?
What are feelings? What kind of feelings then could be considered being in love? What feelings quantifies feelings?
How do you know when you feel like you're in love?
Everything counts, yet nothing counts.

Timing matters too. Sometimes, it's an unfortunate case of the right person, at the wrong time. At different stages of our lives, we focus on different things. Maybe when we meet the right person, we weren't ready for commitment yet? Sometimes, we meet the right person but we ourselves aren't right yet for him/her. Or, two right people meet but one chickens out. So many variables, so many maybe's...
Love and relationships are risky investements, so to speak. It doesn't mean that by 'investing' years in a relationship, you'll get 'returns'. Sometimes, a perfectly good relationship just cannot weather the attrition of time.
The best thing to do is to just live in the moment and enjoy life in the here and now.
So, what is Love? What is Love?

Another couple met and got married in less than one year... Almost 40 years later, they wouldn't have chosen to be with anyone else!
A colleague I know at work met her husband and ROM'd within three months. She still loves being married to him.
Me, I was with an ex for seven years and in the end, everything dissipated into dust...

measure Love with Time??? Love isn't like baking a cake and all you need to do is follow the instructions and take it out of the oven after 1 hour and 45 minutes. love is more like cooking stew. you got to taste it regularly to make sure it's tasting ok. and you got to continue doing it even if it takes you a life time to get it to taste right.
