Help.. SIA or Japan airline

the final interview for japan airline fall on the same date as SIA second interview? so i'm in a dilema of which to go for...
in term of company,which airline will u choose for cabin crew position. Pay wise? location, welfare benefit?
can please help by contributing what u know... i can't possibly go for 2 interview, cos the interview usually take one whole day.. -

Definitely its SQ.. coz its home based. As home base crew u enjoy all the benefits and destinations.
However for JAL, U will be consider as a foreign base crew and u need to take ur training there. If i'm not wrong, its 2 months. And u need to take crash coz in japanese. In terms of paywise, guess SQ is better. And JAL only flys to certain destinations for SIngapore Crew. Its still better to be in local airlines. -
I will definately go for JAL for several reasons. You are treated with more respect , higher pay and JAL is a better airline to work with .
Singapore Airlines is a good airline but they are overrated in terms of their service and their arrogant management. I had a few cabin crew friends who decided to quit SIA for new pestures and they didn't regret it at all. They were not only paid more , they were treated with more respect in their companies.
To work with JAL , you need a diploma and the command of japanese language. Good luck. I will definately go for JAL without consideration. -
JAL need to learn japanese? then if youcan speak and write japanese an additional skill if next time no longer working for JAl can look for jobs with your command of the language. anyway i dun know much anout jobs as a stewardess but i guess u must be prepared m=for lots of flying around the world -

Singkapore-Tokyo-China n back
but JAL uniform no scared top zaogeng -
by the way,due to time constraint, i did a very stupid thing...
i send in a passport size photo 2gether with my application form, but the problem is the passport size photo picture me in a very "shocked"mode - meaning not prepared, showing a very fake smile and shocked expression..
so will this reduce my chance of gettin shortlisted for interview? or they will just call anyone who apply to go for interview... -

must understand that being air stewardess or steward they must present it as a profession in the service and tourism industry. as long as they perform their duties and ensure a comfortable voyage for the passengers on board, then everything should be fine. BTW the stewards should alsop look out for the stewardess against unreasonable/ horny passengers coz after all they are your customers whom u have to serve. it is better to have guy colleagues around when you need their help.Originally posted by LeftBallBigger:Sure Singkapore Papaya Airlines la

SIA. JAL got alot of tee ko pek on board the plane 1, their fav pastime is to pinch stewardess's backside.

It really depends very much on what you seek in your job. Your satisfaction,image, or pay. Both airlines offers different aspects. Find out what drives you on and makes you happy, and follow the path.

From other forums, I heard that SIA has already a pre-fixed list who to be selected but, they juz ask everybody to go for the selection on the interview day, and that their staff were rude. Do not know if that is true?! And they said that JAL staff were very friendly and smiled throughout the day. Even if you din get selected, you dun feel so embarrassed. hmm...
Maybe, you juz go and let us know of the outcome. I tot SIA is holding their interviews on the 23rd and 24th April 05? -
