Lover stronger with friendship?

  It makes sense that a relationship would be stronger if both parties had gone through the friendship phase as they would understand each other's character better. The trust between them is stronger and it is easier to resolve most misunderstandings.
  
  It does work the other way as well. Sometimes, when both parties know each other too well -- maybe till the point where they treat the other person only as a 'brother' or 'sister' -- then the discomfort of intimacy may just discourage them from developing the friendship further.

  We definitely need to be friends first. Because it is during the friendship period I will find out if he is really someone I want to be with. We really do need the friendship and connection before we can proceed to the relationship level

  It should always start from friendship. The foundation has to be built before any progress. If there's a strong connection during friendship, then it will develop naturally into a love relationship.

  ideally, a period of platonic relationship is a good gauge.
  Mutual understandings, communication and comfortablity builds the strongest foundation in a intimate relationship.

  I first known this girl thru a 'common experience', a wilderness expedition 3 years ago. The trip was very very memorable for all of those who went.
  
  First chat, very friendly. Also got to know another girl also from my CCA and a couple of boys.
  
  She's from my CCA, but we didn't talk much for the next few years. Few chance meeting, cos of the school's layout. At that time I only consider her my acquaintance
  
  Until last year, where we started talking and SMS-ing. It was then I realised she's not the type of person my impression is of during CCA.
  
  At first she's quite shy initially, but a few months later, she begun to treat me as friend.

  It has to begin from somewhere.
  
  Friendship is the easiest platform to start.
  
  P.S: Do you make more money by having higher qualification than someone else who have lower qualification than you? Likely to... but not neccessarily always.
