actually i think drinking does help temporary.
there was a period of time when i want to forget someone..
i work in the day, and after work.. i indulge in drinking. got drunk every night. and the next morning, i repeat the whole cycle, going to work, and drinking after work.
it kept me occupied.
work kept me busy and let me forget my troubles during the day
alcohol kept me happy at night and made me forget my troubles during the night.
as months passes.. the pain fade away..
and i could cope without the alcohol anymore.
i would say alcohol just helped me to pass my time easier.
as one would say time heals the pain.
but i was lucky not to turn alcoholic..

Drinking will never help, it may numb u for that moment but once u recover from the drowsiness or whatever effects that drinking caused to u, things will be back to square one, the sadness still remains and u still have to face it whether u like it or not.
