I hear alot of people talking about fate.But what excatly is fate and does it exist?

If a girl is totally disinterested in a guy
possibly she is attached OR .. well she is just not interested
and a conversation started
and they HAVE a nice conversation lasting quite a number of bus stops
and the guy asked for her number
and she rejects him nicely
is she still leading him on?

You should be. Just like that silvert person, you might not expect another reply from him/her again. At which point she would be considered to be leading the other party on is really subjective.. It would also depends on how 'friendly' she is.... Her background culture and such... Some girls can hug guys just like that, like they're just hugging a normal friend... While others might just touch you CASUALLY... But judging from the past threads in AA, many people would often think of such more... Trying to read into 'body language' especially digging into personal biased belief.... These 'actions' CAN mean something or almost as easily means NOTHING...
To me, unless she strips in front of you, make sexual advances on you or is telling you directly in your face that she's interested in you... The other actions have the priviledge of remaining at a ZERO value. -

I think the problem in Singapore is that for many women
the FEAR of being misconstrued is very real
because there ARE still a lot of people who
read more depth and intention to it..
and it stops them from being friendly ba
cos you can never tell from face value
who's just friendly, and who's going to be a "stalker" waiting for you
at the bus stop everyday thinking you are interested in him
simply cos you had a chat with him
(Or even gave him ur email/number)
And the worst thing is, if you complain to someone this happen, the blame will be inadvertently on the girl "You dont like him what for go and talk to him!?!"
In a culture where friendliness is a social norm, casual conversation and friendship with the opposite sex is considered very normal (No need to have repeated topics saying "CAN guys and GIRLS be FRIENDS only?!), I think the pressure is a lot less.
In our immediate social context, while there ARE many open minded (AND I don't mean this in the "looking for open-minded girls" type of 'open minded) and sensible people around. Unfortunately the number is not the majority yet.
And ultimately, its the mindless mob that kills. Not the enlightened few. -

i got attached to about five girls just by pretending be loss. and ask for direction....
