she wanna cut-short the conversation but dun wanna appear as rude to ignore the call, or might be actually busy or juz wanna the phone to keep quiet. -

It's hard to determine what she means by those actions and in first place its pretty hard to understand gals, individually thats it. So many gals so many different personalities, some like surprises some hate it like hell, while some like money some like romance.
Take for example, she might be saying she's busy because she wants you to APPRECIATE her and NOT TAKE HER FOR GRANTED if you both decide to get into a relationship (if...). I know of gals who play hard to get and that's what you get, a puzzled guy like you.
And then she might answer your calls because she stil want to maintain that friendship with you, possible right? She might not want to be so cruel and to like - CAN YOU STOP CALLING ME UP BECAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO BE TOGETHER? kind of thing. I also know of gals who prefer friendship to love cause to them, friendship can be forever, love is kinda hard to achieve that forever thingy.
In conclusion, i would recommend you just ask her how she feels bout you, and you also tel her how you feel bout her ya? Its always better to ask than to regret few years down the road thinking - gee, what if i asked her that day? could we be together?

Ermmm sorry to hijack this thread but usually in a relationship who usually make a effort to call?
I seem to be in a sticky situation whereby a girl who call me frequently suddenly stop calling me becos I miss a few of her calls. And when I call her subsequently she expects me to be the one to call her for all future calls. If I ignore her she calls again to question my absence but if I call her she might not answers my calls. She also have this annoying habit of saying she will call me later but did or will only contact me the next day. What the heck is going on in her mind? It seems to be a on/off trend and its making me confused. Does all girls behave like that?

not all girls behave like that but alot do. -
If she want to avoid u, usually she will not answer the phone. But she is the friendly type, even tot she not interested in u and she know u like her, she still will answer the phone.

Hmm...if she tells you she's busy, take it as she's busy then. Why are you doubting her?
If she doesn't like you for who you are, then it means she's not the one for you...and you'll find someone better than her and she'll end up with someone worse off than you...if you're as good as you are.
If she avoids you like a plague...then she's being immature and childish, please ignore her sillyness and find someone smarter and gracious for the sake of your future offsprings...cos you won't want any of them to have the same weird mentality as their weird Mom.
Don't think too deep into a women's mind...unless you're deeper than them or you're one of them. If you're neither, chances of you going insane and booking into IMH for life is almost 99.9%.

but it varies from people to people how they want to see it.
