Personally, I feel that sun tanning should work better?
Probably also depends on yourself...? It's easier for some people to get tan (or nice tan?), while others to have scars removed through treatment cream...?

how long has it been since u recovered from chicken pox?
and how old are you?
The scars then to recover over time... and the younger u are the faster they recover.
I had them when was waiting for my a leves results after JC. the scars are so bad... almost cover whole face and most of my torso.... it was terrible....
but after 6 months ok already.
So give it some time lor... should be able to recover over time.

i dun think it's advisable to get in the sun to tan your legs at this point of time.. the scar marks will turn darker .. so if you ever go tanning, please use sunblock.
anyway scar marks will fade over time.. just be patient and wait.

suggest u see a doctor to obtain the right skin medication to apply.
no, sun taning will do more damage, since the top tissue is already damage.

I had a friend who used concealer for her chicken pox scars and it was quite effective in covering them up. Anyway, her scars have since faded and I can barely see them.
