Being touched means anything?

Hi everyone. Just encounter this lately. Had a fren (Girl) who just gotten back to know her long lost pri sch fren (Guy). This guy wrote a poem for her and the girl told me she was touched. However, that doesnt mean anything to her other than being touched.
What are ur thinkings or feelings if u are being touched? Will u give that person a chance to love u or chase u? Does being touched mean anything to u? -
touched by a poem doesn't necessarily mean anything.. is it a love poem?? did the guy explicitly tll the gal the love poem is written FOR her?? if yes, and she says she's touched, then maybe there's something.. if not, she's just giving her feelings on the poem...

One poem won't influence or move the girl into accepting him.
She might be impressed by his creativity. -
Imagine this.. After she says the poem touches her.. tell her the poem is not for her.. See her reaction.. muHahhaha

The poem did spell clearly that the guy love her. Each of the letter of the beginning of the poem spells her name and also the words I LOVE YOU. MY fren told me she was touched but to her it doesnt mean anyhting else. She also said it was sweet.
I was just wondering how guys and girls see this touched thing differently. If someone wana chase u, he will have to do sth to touch u or woo u over. In that case, feeling touched means giving a chance and accepting?? Strange of my fren to contradict this thinking. -

Being touched with words/poem is a good start.
Action should come next. Only then, sincerity will come full circle. -

From experience....being touched does not mean anything usually.... Juz note that being touched =/= having feelings for you... two totally different things altogether.
Let's explore the female mind a bit n what consists of "being touched"... whenever a guy (any guy) did sumthing for her... they know that they MATTER to somebody... It is this... that makes them feel touched....
Other aspect of being touched is the action, the things that the guy is willing to go through, for the ger.... but then again, it is cuz the ger MATTER to the guy, tat's y the guy went thru such things.
So... when a ger says she is touched, it is a way of saying thank you to the guy's SINCERiTY, for doing the things for her, and making her feel important... IT IS NOT NECESSARY TRUE THAT BEING TOUCHED = HAVING FEELINGS FOR YOU.
Why so? Cuz sad to say, sincerity counts not as much in courtship.... Have you ever heard of most gers say, "I want a bf who is v sincere in woo-ing me n making me feel touched all the time"? Prolly not... Cuz most gers have a set of criteria for a guy they want to be with, other than feelings.... That's why... -
Shouldnt have any other significance other den an appreciation of the poem. Unless of course the girl already harbours feelings for the guy.

This seem to make things sound like that person is heartless in some way. I would rather hear her say tell me str that I dun hace to do things for her cos it wont touch her. I know love is sometimes cruel but I rather hear the cruel words than hear those nice words to give hope then the cruel words to bring u down to knees.
Of cos I understand that the girl is trying to be nice to minimize the pain but I rather prefer a straight answer of a no. To me, minimizing wonuld not help cos it will only add on to the misery.
Just my tots though, doesnt apply to all guys. -

It's heartless cos you're hurt by it.
The word "touched" doesn't infer a liking or a chance. It simply means "emotionally stirred". You can't blame a girl if you add extra meaning to the phrase yourself because you're hoping it means more.
I can be touched by what my good friend of the same gender does for me. Does it mean I should be falling for her?

No la, dun necessarily means cruel... cruel means u do sumthing for the ger the ger juz heck u n treat u bad! The girl is juz being nice by saying she's touched.... i m touched when pple offer help when i m in distress, when pple act considerately, etc... simply said, being "touched" and "in love" are totally different... hope ur fren isnt too confused..

Being touched by someone doesn't neccesarily mean liking a person. If someone is sweet and nice to you, and u dun feel touched then it also says alot about you as a person. It's natural to be touched by nice gestures. But when someone is touched by another, it usually means that that someone has a pretty good impression of the one who has touched him or her.

I guess if being touched doesnt mean anything usually, then most of us wont have to touch the person we like in order to woo that person ba.
I think problem is with the wide definition of the terms we use nowadays. one word, multiple meanings accodring to different people.
