tourism help

  hey guys need some help from all the experienced peeps..i got a friend flying down to s'pore. any ideas on interesting places to visit besides the usual tourist traps?

  minus travelling time back and forth she's only got around 7 hours time to spend here cause she's on transit so any ideas for a sunday afternoon/evening?

  Bring him to the Night Safari. Yeah it is a tourist trap but I find it really good as a local.
  
  Other suggestions would be....hot spring I dunno I guess it depends on what your friend like. Maybe show him the other side of Singapore like Chek Jawa, Sugei Bulor......though most prob they have more nature in their country.
  
  I dunno, maybe show him the local art scene if he is interested or the local food scene

  Or you can bring her to New Asia Bar at Swisshotel The Stamford. 3pm - 9pm all cocktails at half price plus you can show her the bird's eye view of Singapore.

  any good recommendations? not like super super expensive ones though we both dont really have uber deep wallets

  Anyone can go in. After discount it is like 6 bucks per drink depending on what you choose plus they do serve it in a really big glass and they have cool alcoholic freezes.
  
  You can choose to go to Starbucks and drink yucky coffee or you can go for a cool cocktail and enjoy the Singapore scenery. Btw I heard the coffee at New Asia Bar sucks so dun try it.
  
  They play chill-out music so it's really nice.

  Seriously you can go to the duck or hippo tours before that coz it's all around the area or you can go for the river cruise or somerthing.
