having read some previous threads with regards to this topic, i still do have some questions and would like to hear the views of you people out there.
haha. well, i'm a poor student coming from a pretty rich jc in singapore (no prizes for guessing which) and despite having a keen interest in overseas education, i have not really found the courage to enquire about funding such education, as the school knows pretty well that the kids in my school can afford to pay for such themselves and hence do not provide such information. so yeah, what are the avenues i can explore to pay for an education overseas? i dont think i qualify much for a government scholarship seeing that i lack s papers and am in the arts stream (hence having alot of courses closed to me).
my friend did tell me about the shaw foundation and their sponsorships to students who write in requesting for such financial aid. has anyone out there tried and what are the chances of receiving such aid (seeing that not much information has been provided on their site)?
and which universities in australia are good for arts courses? anyone out there studying or have studied such courses willing to provide some information?
and and and, anyone know of any good online resources for singaporeans interested in going overseas/australia to study? similar to that of collegeboard.com for us students and all. i've tried the study in australia site but it was v general and all. hoping to find some site where i can tap on the experiences of singaporeans currently overseas and resources where i may be able to find out more about studying overseas.
thanks.
