Upgrading myself

Thinking of doing a masters degree in mass comm to upgrade next yr at NTU. cannot stick wif a stupid basic degree cos everybody on the streets got one.
but how the job market will pick up by then?
been working and the job is just damn knn.
what u guys think? -

Your Masters in Mass Comm will definitely be useful when the IR opens.
You will be the most highly educated croupier asking people to place their bets on the bacarrat table.
Of course, if you're looking for something more adventurous and less monotonous, there's always Crazy Horse.

He might actually do it but chances are, he won't succeed.

It's fair to say degree certs dun hold the edge anymore in any industry.
But i seriously doubt a master's will make a significant difference. At the moment, companies prefer employees who sell their soul (literally) to the company.
So if you want a fat pay cheque, forget about self-pride, screw social life and sink into the deepest ball-licking, boot-shining, backstabbing you dare, anything to climb to the pinnacle of the corporate ladder.
Kidding.
Just stay focused and keep your drive. Your pay adjustments will come.
In the meantime, Masters is for those who choose to enter a specialised field. It fact, it's best you get your company to sponser the course. No point investinig unnecessarily. -

i in the media industry one, specialising in music and audio.
a mass comm masters will broaden my field and perhaps work in the higher management level.
will b getting a mda scholarship hopefully.
