what i mean is given you a choice will you want to better or be the best?Originally posted by starblue:i do not get you.![]()
attitude is being yourselfOriginally posted by Gedanken:Hey guys, this type of attitude confirmed CMI already - no need to waste time arguing.
i do not set criteria for my guy. i don't go: my future bf must be 1.8m, 70kg max, a bit tanned, soft short hair, broad chest, no BO, charming eyes, passionate about biology, plays basketball well, can play either the guitar or the piano............." and then go out and find guys who fit into the criteria... get it? of cos the basic nice-ness is important for me to even like him as a friend. but i do not set boundaries like you.Originally posted by leo-kun:what i mean is given you a choice will you want to better or be the best?
so if you can request for something, wouldnt you want something you like?
can you tell me what boundaries did i set?Originally posted by starblue:i do not set criteria for my guy. i don't go: my future bf must be 1.8m, 70kg max, a bit tanned, soft short hair, broad chest, no BO, charming eyes, passionate about biology, plays basketball well, can play either the guitar or the piano............." and then go out and find guys who fit into the criteria... get it? of cos the basic nice-ness is important for me to even like him as a friend. but i do not set boundaries like you.
That's all right, sport - you go right ahead and be yourself. See how far this line of thinking gets you.Originally posted by leo-kun:attitude is being yourself
is what others think
no offence.
what the heck are you trying to sayOriginally posted by Gedanken:That's all right, sport - you go right ahead and be yourself. See how far this line of thinking gets you.
You want the best? What, pray tell, do you do to deserve the best? A number of people here have already observed that you're doing jack.
Junior, what the heck I'm trying to say is you may sure as heck want to go shopping for such a girl, but what the heck do you offer to think that she'll want you?Originally posted by leo-kun:what the heck are you trying to say
hey senior if you read with your eyes open did any girl say she want me?Originally posted by Gedanken:Junior, what the heck I'm trying to say is you may sure as heck want to go shopping for such a girl, but what the heck do you offer to think that she'll want you?
It's obvious to others here already that your "I want to get the best" attitude, which effectively treats women as no more commodities than sugar or pork bellies, would make you look like a complete chump, minimising the chances of the sporty girl you're looking for, or any girl for that matter, being even remotely interested in you.
Score: image killers 1, you zero.
Geddit?
of cos notOriginally posted by Gedanken:So lemme get this straight, booster - you want to find a sporty girlfriend, but she doesn't have to want you?
So what are you going to do, perv at her from behind a bush pulling yourself?
23 my friendOriginally posted by DriftingGuy:Before anything else, how old are you leo-kun.. if dun wan to say can give us an estimate? 15 -18, 19 -21, 22 -25 or 26 and above?![]()
Hey tiger, maybe you ought to stick your dangly bits back where they belong, and read the writing on the wall.Originally posted by leo-kun:of cos not
let fate decide
how can you think of such things...no wonder you are senior. ...
so what with the score anyway and what are you trying to prove?Originally posted by Gedanken:Hey tiger, maybe you ought to stick your dangly bits back where they belong, and read the writing on the wall.
You've said that you want to find a sporty gf. Well and good.
The first bit of advice you've received here is to get your fat ass from out behind that keyboard and go do something sporty yourself.
The second piece of important information is that people have already questioned your criteria and your "go for the best" attitude. Why don't you wind your neck in and think about why this is so?
If you do come across such a girl, what do you think she's going to make of your attitude? Gee, you want the best - that may be good for her ego, but she's also going to wonder where you're coming from. If you're thinking in terms of "the best", the flip side is that you're classifying others as inferior. What if she's got one characteristic that you could possibly consider inferior? Does she want to stick around and find out the hard way?
You've sunk yourself before you've even started.
The score's still 2-0, with betting odds in favour of the image killers.
Your move, hotshot.
any last words?Originally posted by Gedanken:Sheesh, are you so thick you don't even get what the score means? Okay, if I have to be blunt instead of being nice, so be it.
Right now you've got two things working against you: you look like a sexist pig and you look stupid. So far as what you've posted in this thread is concerned, you've displayed no (zero) redeeming features.
In light of this, it's pretty dumb putting up a post saying that you're looking to get a girlfriend of any sort, because a blind man could see that the odds are stacked against you 2-0.
See what the score means now, and how it pertains to your vapid topic?
Now go get your act together before proceeding.
thanksOriginally posted by Gedanken:Sure thing, chump. Good luck - you're sure as hell going to need it.
leo... this is exactly what i was saying. but you dun get it... lolz. i aint wasting more time on you mate. honestly, being 23, you ought to be more sensible... wanting the best things in life is well and good. but to set criteria for love??? lolz...Originally posted by Rhonda:Gee, I must be missing out on some new trend... I didn't know that these days, you can 'tailor-make' your love interest, kinda like some mail-order thingy!
You can't exactly get a 'made-to-measure' partner and think that that's love. That's more like looking for a trophy wife / husband!!
You fall in love when you meet someone who shares the same ideals and values as you, share the same interests and / or passion, are able to trust and confide in each other, can keep the conversation going without getting bored or wanting to get at each other's throats for hours on end, feel comfortable and relaxed in each other's presence, and when you both have sizzling chemistry to boot!
You don't go, 'Oh, lemme see... I want a guy in his late 30's who has a million bucks in his bank account and a penthouse in Orchard Road and preferably an MBA as well, driving a Black BMW, and who plays tennis on Sundays ...'![]()
Besides, what makes you think that your perfect dream girl would go for someone like you?!Cuz, you see, shallow is as shallow gets!
