  Finasteride is not so good at regrowing hair, BUT is excellent at stopping you from losing any more hair: see http://www.ishrs.org/articles/propecia-study.htm
  
  Finasteride is a pharmaceutical drug, not some snake oil. It is made by the multinational company Merck. You will need a prescription from your doctor to obtain it.
