Especially in a commercial country like SG. I think its more of a reality.
Thats why less are getting married ma. Ladies with degrees will usually want a husband with better or more equal earning power.

Maybe money and religion/wisdom is like double side of a coin... We need money to live:eat, sleep, shop etc... But We need wisdom/religion to teach us "how and what to do" to earn money at least in ethical way.
Yah 100% we need money to live... but without proper teachings, we may not understand that money is good or bad... Maybe more cases of ppl competing until killing each other for money (worse than what's on the daily news), women will be doomed as men are stronger... ppl maybe ended up eat anything like human brain also , because in their mind, "as long as I have money I can do everything..." -
