First time people lie to you, is their fault.
But second time onwards, if they lie to you, that's your fault, because you are the one who gave them the chance to lie to you again.
So, who to blame? Yes, yourself. Whether to give chance to them to lie to you for the third time?

it may be a misunderstanding that she last min feeling sick?,
or it could be you being too over possessive that she has to lie to you to breathe?

Sometimes, its damn funny... the way I look at things: People attempt to lie without any effort to cover up tracks - it shows how 'can't-be-bothered' they are with those lies. Obviously it was a fleeting moment when the untruth was told, thus there isn't any collaboration with her colleagues.
When someone lie, there are reason why they did it. Ask and be enlightened.
